Director of Finance (m/f/x) – SaaS Industry
Location: Munich
Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
Creating financial forecasts, budgets, and analyses.
Monitoring financial performance and offering recommendations for resource optimization.
Partnering with country teams and Operations
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reports.
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards (IFRS).
Cash Flow Management:
Managing and forecasting the company’s cash flow.
Efficiently handling liquidity reserves and financing options.
Stakeholder Communication:
Presenting financial results and recommendations to management and investors.
Collaborating with internal departments to support their financial objectives.
Tax and Compliance Management:
Ensuring adherence to tax regulations and legal requirements. Handling entity taxes (profit-derived taxes to federal and state governments) and sales taxes (sales-derived taxes to state governments).
Managing company registrations as a business entity, possibly as a „foreign“ entity in each state based on business activities. Overseeing state payroll tax remittances in locations where employees are based.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a strong financial focus
Minimum of 5 years‘ experience in a senior finance role, preferably in the SaaS or Software technology sector.
Management experience of leading a team of accountants, controllers and purchasing
Profound understanding of SaaS business models and metrics.
Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
Effective communication skills for conveying complex financial concepts clearly.
Familiarity with financial software and tools.
Excellent communication skills in German and English
