Electronics Engineer – Quantum Key Distribution Component Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electronics Engineer to design and develop cutting-edge quantum key distribution components for both terrestrial and space applications. As an Electronics Engineer in our team, you will work closely with physicists, software engineers, and other experts to design, develop, and test quantum communication systems. You will be responsible for designing and implementing electronics hardware, including high-speed data acquisition, signal processing, and control systems, to enable quantum key distribution over long distances.
Design and develop electronics hardware for quantum key distribution systems, including high-speed data acquisition and signal processing systems.
Collaborate with physicists, software engineers, and other experts to develop and test quantum communication systems.
Conduct experiments to validate and optimize the performance of quantum key distribution systems.
Participate in the development of proposals, technical reports, and other project documentation.
Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in quantum communication technologies, and proactively identify and evaluate new technologies for potential integration into our systems.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics hardware design and development.
Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics design, including high-speed signal processing and control systems.
Knowledge of quantum communication principles and systems is desirable.
Experience with laboratory instrumentation and measurement techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong English communication skills, written and verbal, German is an asset.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
