Engineer* for Laser Processing Development

To strengthen our Laser Processing Team within the Research & Development organization, we are looking for an Engineer* with a strong focus on Laser Processing Development at our headquarters in Mainz.
Your Contribution
Development of laser based processing for glasses as well as other special materials
Identification and development of new process and equipment approaches to meet future process and product requirements in cooperation with programming skills for laser machinery and Cobots
Understanding of complex process development challenges to find solutions in open-minded teams together with highly experienced production and technical service staff
Working in development projects with responsibility for results, budget and the project team
Your Qualifications
Excellent degree in engineering physics, process engineering or mechanical engineering, preferably with PhD
Advanced knowledge in optics, laser technologies, mechatronic and programming is beneficial
High result-oriented manner of work
Experience in design of experimental set-up and analysis of experimental data
Eagerness to find feasible solutions for complex process challenges
Social skills that enable open and trustful communication with all hierarchy levels
Experience of working in development projects in an industrial environment is preferred
Smart leading of project teams should be associated with intensive teamwork and spirit of success
Very good German and English language skills (written and spoken), knowledge of other languages is a plus
Willingness to travel abroad
