Expert High Speed Digital HW Design Engineer (m/f/d)
As an Expert Design Engineer for high-speed digital, you will be part of a global team and contribute to highly complex mixed signal ASIC and module designs and their integration into systems for Advantest’s IC-testers. You will be involved in the circuit design and simulation on both ASICs and modules to provide consulting and guidance to internal and external design partners. In your area of expertise to enable solutions at the leading edge of technology. You will cover high speed digital integrated ASICs, modules, and subsystems from concept to finished module/device. This includes design, coding, verification, and evaluation in the final system. You deliver against agreed upon schedules. Communication with other internal functions like product marketing, SW and system design and external partners is required.
Your Responsibilities
Design, simulation, and implementation of high-speed digital circuits on ASIC
Requirements analysis and documentation of agreed functionality and specifications
Verification of functionality and performance on chip level and on modules
Evaluation and validation of specifications on testers and in the final product
Guidance and consulting for internal and external development partners
Support for board layout and physical design
Collaboration with other functions
Your Qualifications
University degree, Diploma or BS EE
Deep understanding of high-speed circuit concepts on board level
Expert Experience in High-Speed Digital ASIC design
Deep understanding of transistor level circuits
Experience with standard simulation tools for digital designs
Experience with 3D board level simulation
Know-how of LINUX environment and deep knowledge in at least one programming language and scripting
Technical communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
English language skills
