We are seeking a remotely based Finance Manager to join the France Finance Department on a permanent basis. The position will be based in our Frankfurt office.

About the role

The Finance Manager France position is part of the French local Management team and oversees the Finance function. This position is responsible for ensuring that the Company meets its statutory obligations and plays a pivotal role in strategic initiatives to meet the Company’s corporate objectives.
Key duties

Direct and manage the operations of the Finance, including month-end closing procedures, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payrolls, cashflow management, Head Office reporting, etc.
Lead the budgeting & forecasting process and prepare/review periodic analysis.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of relevant data and information.
Maintain sound and effective internal controls for compliance with policies and managing risk.
Provide advice and guidance to GM France and the wider group of department heads for France
Manage the performance of outsourced vendors, including for payment processing and tax verification/filing
Overseeing the preparation and lodgment of statutory and regulatory obligations
Liaise and work with industry groups, external auditors, advisor/consultants and other external stakeholders as required.
Drive and implement improvement initiatives
Participate in an advisory capacity on a review regional best practices and support accounting system migration to SAP HANA.
Undertake other projects as necessary.

Required knowledge, skills & experience

University degree in Accounting and a CA/CPA qualified accountant
At least 7 years of prior relevant work experience in large corporate company and/or audit experience in a professional accounting firm.
Proven knowledge of accounting and tax principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations (France specific knowledge is a plus.)
Advanced skills in Microsoft suite of applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint,etc)
Knowledge of and/or experience using SAP
Ability to confidently interact with staff at all levels and build strong business relationships
Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to prioritize and manage workload, meet deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances

Preferred qualification and skills

While the below are desirable, we welcome candidates with similar experiences:
French language ability at a level B2 or above
Airline/aviation/travel industry experience
Familiarity with ADP or any other workforce management and payroll service provider
System implementation project experience

This is a full-time permanent position. All candidates must be eligible to work in Germany.
