For our Purchasing Team at our Bavarian location Marktoberdorf we are
looking for a

Global Tooling Manager (m/f/d)
At Fendt, you will work for the premium supplier and innovation leader in
the agricultural industry. In Purchasing, we pride ourselves on our pivotal
role between all divisions of the company. Our cross-departmental and
cross-functional cooperation extends to all Fendt plants and includes the
globally-operating AGCO Corporation. We coordinate future technologies with
international suppliers in line with our Forward Sourcing Strategy and

The position provides cross-functional support to internal stakeholders
during the sourcing and product development process, helping to drive the
global purchasing strategy and creating value for internal and external
customers through detailed tooling manufacturing process cost knowledge.
The incumbent reports to Director Supplier Cost and Tooling Engineering and
delivers strategic, tactical and operational support for the Purchasing,
Engineering, Finance and Manufacturing organization. The incumbent manages
tooling projects, prioritizes strategic and tactical initiatives to embed
robust procurement processes, driving cost savings and delivering sound
metrics. The position requires advanced understanding of the manufacturing
industry to be able to operate effectively on a global level across
functions, regions and brands. The Global Tooling Manager has a direct
impact to the business in capital expenses cost reduction, purchasing
negotiations and product development.
What You Will Do
* Create detailed analysis of tools, evaluate cost breakdowns and
provide value-engineering support to product development and sourcing
process
* Realize cost avoidance and savings for vendor and in-house tools
within new development, resourcing projects and tool renewals by
providing negotiation support to global purchasing commodity teams
* Act as a subject matter expert in regards of global tooling risk
management and help to develop tooling sourcing strategies for AGCO
and its suppliers
* Define, implement, and maintain standardized cost calculation
systems, tools and instruments for tool costing engineering on a
global perspective
* Verify vendor tooling/capital equipment to ensure it is suitable for
AGCO’s needs and requirements
What You Will Bring
* University degree in Engineering (Bachelor/Master) or technical
hands-on journeyman background in tool making
* Ideally over 5 years of work experience in a tool
manufacturing/design/engineer-related role
* Mastery of tooling manufacturing process knowledge in at least one
tool technology, preferably foundry tooling
* Fluent German and English
A Plus If You Have
* Basic understanding of the business environment from the aspects of
purchasing, engineering, quality and manufacturing
* Proven track record of cross-functional project management
* Good communication and experience in commercial negotiation
