Your tasks/Your duties
Manage an international team of 30 developers and business analysts, including external service providers
Set goals, strategies, budgets, and oversee deployment of large-scale projects among multiple stakeholders
Plan resources for the various projects and evaluate staff performance together with team leaders
Be a catalyst for career development and growth of our team of developers and business analysts
Support the recruiting of engineering personnel, technical staffing and project team formation
Support the team through design, development and maintenance of software engineering applications
Prepare technology roadmap for our R&D departments
Promote best engineering practices through solid design decisions, processes and tools
Supervise training and development of software engineering staff
Clear understanding of why you want to be a leader and what sets you apart
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
Several years of experience leading software engineering teams (e.g. mentoring junior engineers, setting technical direction, etc.)
Your personal strengths include the ability to work in a team, strong communication skills and organizational skills
Track record of delivering software solutions with high business value in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills as well as technical knowledge, especially in the area of R&D of large manufacturing companies
Experience in an international environment with teams from multiple countries is extremely beneficial
Agile practitioner with first-hand experience
Fluent English and good German language skills
