Head of Transportation (m/w/d)

Your tasks
You will develop and implement strategies for optimizing line haul and last mile deliveries impacting service level and costs
You will own and manage the full Transportation P&L ensuring close collaboration with customer service, finance and senior leadership
You will have to oversee the selection, management, and performance of our line haul and last mile service providers
You will negotiate best in class contracts and rate agreements with line haul and last mile service providers
You will have to monitor and analyze inefficiencies within the network and work towards eliminating them either within the team or cross functionally
You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
You will build a team within Thomann logistics for all aspects of transportation
You will report directly to the CLO
Your profile
You have a master’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
You have more than five years of experience in transportation and/or logistics, with at least three years in a leadership role
You have strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a «can do mindset» and «hands-on approach»
You have the ability to focus both on detail and fast execution
You have strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
You have proficiency with transportation management systems and other relevant technologies
You are fluent in English and German – spoken and written
