ContiTech develops and produces functional parts, components, and systems for machine and plant engineering, mining, the automotive industry, and other important industries. Our Hanover location is seeking an IT License & Contract Manager (m/f/diverse) to join our team.

In your new role your tasks will be:
IT License Management:
Representation of Group Sector ContiTech in License Management Community
Enforcement of actions towards compliance with the rules of the Software Asset Management (SAM) Policy on all levels within the respective Business Area, especially, but not limited to, to request relevant inventory data to compile license positions and compliance positions
Adaption of IT License Management strategy of Continental for ContiTech
Authority for all IT License Management matters on Business Area (BA) level (matters with an impact that is limited to the BA)
Adaption, management and control the SAM principles and IT License Management processes according to the requirements and conditions of the Business Area’s IT departments and locations (BA adoption)
Definition of an adequate level of reports (scope, priority) and frequency, based on risk assessment and efficiency (effort and value-add)
Definition and conduction of BA internal reviews on license management activities
Software demand planning process (projects, negotiations, budget und forecast)
Changes of IT architecture (e.g. virtualization, move to cloud, migration of middleware or platforms, change of operating system, process automation, API connections, hardware replacements etc.)
Changes of software usage terms or contracts (e.g. changed software license metrics, changes from perpetual licenses to subscriptions, software bundles etc.)
Mergers and Acquisition activities (M&A transactions), especially before contracting license metric terms
Software vendor audits
IT Contract Management:
Demand management for the Business Area in conjunction with stakeholders
Support of internal customers and projects over the entire procurement process
Manage negotiation of contract conditions together with different stakeholders, like Purchasing, Legal, Controlling, Data Protection and Group IT Contracts & Licenses
Conduct individual contract agreements with external service providers
Establish IT Contract Lifecycle Management
Regular reporting on IT contracts in Business Area
Job Requirements
Academic Degree in information technology or a comparable qualification
Expert in License Management metrics
Basic experience in IT Infrastructure and Cloud Technologies
Advanced knowledge in Legal obligations
Good knowledge of financial aspects (e.g., budget, forecast, depreciation, investments, …)
Business fluent English and German language skills (written and spoken)
Structured way of working, especially for reporting purposes
Ability to communicate and present effectively at all levels of the stakeholder throughout the organization
Ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence
