Your contribution to TenneT
The team
Electrical, Automation and Information Systems
is responsible for delivering engineering services and 2 nd & 3 rd level support for technical systems & technical equipment, for driving and managing best practices sharing & implementation, technical standardization , Information Security Management and continuous improvement of technical standards, as well as for ensuring technical lessons learned and technical fault management (governance, process, infrastructure).
Leading a team of 15 team members , especially motivation, inspiring, coaching and development of people
Providing engineering services for electrical, automation & information systems and equipment, as well as providing 2nd & 3rd level support for systems/equipment, which require senior engineering knowhow
Strategy development as well as planning, contracting and implementation of special maintenance and fault management contracts, e.g. 3 rd level support for HVDC control
Implementation and improvement of the Information Security Management System , taking over and assigning related legal roles
Ensuring harmonization, technical standardization and best practices sharing within operations offshore and in cooperation with our core partners, e.g. Asset Management
Development and implementation of technical innovations for Operations Offshore and d
riving process excellence for the processes continuous improvement, technical standardization, technical quality assurance and fault management for all automation and information systems
Your profile and background
Academic working and thinking level and a relevant master degree in automation engineering, information technology or comparable
Relevant working experience in the area of automation and/or information systems
Leadership vs. Management : being able to balance transactional and transformational leadership in the best interest of the team
Leadership : being an inspiring and motivating leader by providing orientation and guidance for all team members with respect to Mission & Ambitions; establishing a high performance culture based on a high quality of interaction (strong team cohesion) and quality of direction (solution and progress orientated way of thinking and working)
Management : applying management functions and systems (organizing, planning, controlling, staffing, directing) as required to ensure business performance and development; Strategic thinking, hands-on mentality and result orientation; Strong entrepreneurship, determination and pragmatic problem solving.
Stakeholder Management: develops and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders on Management level, who are essential for achieving results. Influences others in their perspectives and actions, understands the interests and decision-making process for stakeholders, and based on this develops win-win solutions
Empathy & Reflectiveness: high level of self-reflection and willingness to learn and change; willingness to understand the needs of others as well as supporting them in self-reflection and development
Curiosity: intrinsic motivation to understand problems/challenges and to experiment with new concepts/ideas

Grid Field Operations is executing Field Operations, Maintenance and (Baseload) Projects. We ensure the integrity and safety of our assets entrusted to us, while also ensuring their maximum availability. We make sure that the onshore grids of TenneT is reliable in Germany and the Netherlands.
