Adient Aerospace is a Joint Venture between Adient and Boeing, based in Kaiserslautern. It is our mission to deliver innovative seating designs through precise operational excellence, which results in a superior customer experience.

For the division Engineering, we are looking for a

Your responsibilities:

You take ownership of assigned projects to ensure their completion on time, on budget and in compliance with regulations
You provide technical input to the program manager to further the creation of the project schedule; you identify project elements and phases, sequencing elements, and timing estimates
You perform technical analysis and review specifications as well as the product design to develop a cost and time estimate
You monitor the work of Design Engineers; you provide feedback as needed and steer the direction in case of divergence
You monitor project progress and recommend schedule changes based on re-prioritization, materials availability or on customer needed changes; you analyze the resource constraints and act accordingly to secure an on-time delivery of the results
You have a look on the program / product engineering budget
You report to the Senior Management about the program engineering status
You support technical design reviews monthly / as necessary
You use the right tool / technology for providing technical solutions to program / product issues
You support the development of and meet the agreed-to budget for the product
You make sure that customer scope changes are documented, budgeted and approved prior to commencement of activity
Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested
Your qualification:

Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management or equivalent experience
Min. 5 years of working experience in Project Management
Strong experience in project management as well as in product and process launch
Proficient communicative competency, good analytical skills, excellent leadership skills and team working ethos
Very good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent knowledge of English and German language (written and spoken)
Ability to take the lead on specific projects, document and co-ordinate actions and make decisions in a timely manner
Knowledge of various computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Customer portals
Ready for international business travel on a moderate level
