Research Associate (m/f/d) Battery Characterization
in the Institute of Innovative Mobility
Electromobility? Learning systems? Lithium-ion battery systems? The Electromobility and Learning Systems (ELS) research group is part of the Institute for Innovative Mobility (IIMo) and researches application-driven methods for the development, production and operation of electric vehicles with a strong focus on the battery system down to the individual cell. Shape the mobility of the future with us!
The research work is suitable for a doctorate, the topic of which will be specified in the first 6 months of work.
Your tasks
Research of new non-destructive diagnostic methods for highly precise and accelerated ageing prediction in cooperation with our industrial partners
Investigation of the electrochemical and physical processes occurring in commercially-available lithium-ion cells
Phenomenological model development of the processes within the cell
Participation in national and international conferences
Writing scientific publications
Independent measurement data evaluation and interpretation
Your profile
Scientific university degree in the field of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, material science, chemistry or a related discipline
First experience with electrochemical processes and/or lithium-ion batteries is an advantage
Ability to work independently and in a team
Basic programming skills in Matlab/Simulink
Enjoyment of scientific work in an international environment
