The primary responsibility of the Senior / Principal Cyber Security Consultant is to consult with the client and work with internal teams to create strategies, transformational designs and the architectural vision for more complex solutions that address the clients‘ needs.
Provides architectural and conceptual consultancy to create state of the art security architectures and concepts. Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through consultative sales methodologies, sales presentations and presentation of managed services. Support C-level in understanding security concepts and requirements for their companies. May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex solutions. Be a subject matter expert: SASE, ISMS, Infrastructure Security, Workplace Security, Application Security, Cyber Defense or Managed Security Services

Essential Functions:
Analyze customer security architectures and concepts
Consult at Management / C-Level for complex security models and managed services
Contribute to the development of complex solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas.
Identify and evaluate alternative architectures and the trade-offs in cost, performance and scalability.
Be accountable for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.
Monitor the external environment to gather intelligence on emerging technologies.
Create reports and technology roadmaps and shares knowledge and insights with others.
Design components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology.
Create multiple design views to address the concerns of the different stakeholders of the architecture and to handle both functional and non-functional requirements, including proof of concept (POC).
Participate or lead in scope of work determination and RFP/RFI responses.
Make recommendations for the development of new go to market services and contributes knowledge on relevant verticals.
Operate across both the technical levels within the enterprise architecture and the value chain in order to develop holistic and integrated solutions.
Coach and mentor more junior Consultants
What will make you a good fit for the role?
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience working in information security
Experience in Consulting on Management Level
Sound understanding of the security market
Understanding of the changing risk due to the digital transformation
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in German and English
Specialist knowledge in one or multiple security areas (Infrastructure Security, Cloud Security, Cyber Defense, Application Security, Endpoint Security, Data Loss Prevention, Managed Security Services)
Experience in managing the interface between customer and supplier for Security Managed Services
Ability to develop and leverage their specialist knowledge of reference architectures
Ability to maintain knowledge of trends and development in technology domains
Be knowledgeable in:
Security Compliance Standards ISO27001/ISO27002
BSI Grundschutz
SOC Organisations and Processes
Enterprise Security Architecture (i.e. SABSA) and/or Enterprise Architecture (i.e. TOGAF)
Vulnerability Management
Incident Detection and Response
Threat Modelling
Security Strategies like Zero-Trust, SASE, Defense-in-Depth
Risk Management
Basic Product Knowledge like Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Security, Web Security, SIEM
Experience in Multi-Vendor Environments
Knowledge about Service Management (i.e. ITIL Foundation)
Desired Qualifications:
Qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems or Information Security
Certification and working knowledge in Information Security
Technical certifications for vendors in the security market
Security certifications from SANS or ISC²
Extensive professional technical, IT or Operations experience within a large scale (preferably multi- national) technology services environment on the following areas: Cybersecurity, Network Integration
Project or Program Management experience would be preferred but not essential
Proven client engagement and consulting experience coupled with solid experience in client needs assessment and change management
Solid experience in integrating solution for projects with the business domain, enterprise concerns, industry standards, established patterns and best practices
Experience working in an agile development environment
