Senior Manager Access & Value Strategy (m/w/d)
Your tasks
Provides strategic advice to the global teams in early assets planning to ensure the product development in line with German Market Access requirements, particularly to meet the local HTA standards.
Is responsible for the timely (early) advice request submissions to the Joint Federal Committee (G-BA) regarding the framework for benefit assessment e.g., on appropriate comparator and clinical endpoints.
Is responsible for the timely and submission of the complete value dossier to the G-BA. To achieve this, he/she ensures cross-functional input and support from German Biostats, Medical, Regulatory and the Business Unit as well as with the global VAP/HEOR teams to aim for a transparent and integrated HTA story.
Is responsible for all steps during the value assessments like assessment analysis, written statements and oral hearing including evidence collection & evaluation as well as KOL/ expert support. He/she aligns the overarching project objectives with the DAAL.
Reviews and evaluates scientific literature continuously and monitors relevant competitors‘ AMNOG processes including continuous reporting on the key outcomes and lessons learned.
Acts as a supervisor for Trainees and Interns while they are supporting Market Access.
Is part of the cross-functional, indication specific (launch) team, led by the BU.
Supports the pricing team with AMNOG price negotiation (and potential arbitration board) by HTA, epidemiological and indication excellence. The Senior Manager, Access & Value Strategy works closely with the Access Manager e.g. to ensure seamless communication to key FAM/KAM stakeholders on HTA related questions.
Works closely with the RWE Manager to ensure evidence generation according to AMNOG needs.
In addition, developing and driving best practices across brands by both leveraging understanding of current payer objectives, motivations, and behaviours, as well as anticipating the future market and drivers of value is a core activity.
Your qualifictions
Needs the willingness to lead a/o organize complex interdisciplinary matrix teams under strict time limits with high senior management attention. He/she manages multiple complex HTA projects in parallel.
Has a university degree in life science and/or economics and is trained in health economics and/or has several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in various positions (market access, HEOR, pricing).
Has a profound knowledge of the entire German Market Access process (AMNOG), the German health care and drug legislation as well as knowledge of European and German Market Access requirements for the Pharmaceutical industry.
Has knowledge in study design and study data interpretation (basics in statistics), in evidence-based medicine methodology (IQWIG methodology) and HEOR methods exists as well as a track record in value dossier writing.
Likes to work in teams, across functions and countries.
Is analytical and strategic problem-solving skills are of crucial value.
Has advanced writing and communication skills.
Has basic MS-Office capabilities. Further, knowledge in bibliographic management software (e.g. reference manager) and statistical software applications are appreciated.
Is fluent in English (oral and written)
