Job Description
Your Role
In the global radar product development you will work on innovative mechatronic driver assistance systems for autonomous driving vehicles and support all product development tasks with your broad technical knowledge in consideration of APTIV standards and processes

As a Cyber Security Systems Engineer you are the technical responsible of cyber security for a customer’s radar product

You will work closely with the different functional departments (Cyber Security Core Team, Software, Hardware and Systems Engineering, Manufacturing)

You will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating and defining future driver assistance systems with respect to protection against cyber threats

You are the primary customer contact for all technical cyber security issues

You are responsible for the complete product lifecycle from requirements analysis (requirements control and traceability, change requests and documentation), threat and risk analysis (TARA), security concepts to verification and validation concepts for Cyber Security

You are responsible for the cyber security concept, the creation and update of the cyber security system architecture and related supporting documents

In all tasks you will operate in a creative, multinational and interdisciplinary working environment

You will support the Cyber Security Manager in the creation of Cyber Security plans, concepts and documents

You will supervise penetration tests carried out by internal departments or external partners

You develop ideas for the optimal implementation of security requirements, which you present to Aptiv internally and to our customers

You define your technical solutions as security requirements for the software and coordinate them with our internal experts

You review third-party solutions and approve them
Required Qualifications
You have successfully completed a university degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or similar.

In addition, you have gained initial experience in the development of electrical control units or in system development and ideally have 3-5 years of experience, ideally in the automotive sector

You have good knowledge in the area of cyber security, cyptography procedures and secure network protocols

You have good knowledge in the area of driver assistance systems, especially radar technology

You have profound knowledge in the area of vehicle bus systems (e.g. FlexRay and CAN bus) as well as experience in using the corresponding development tools

With requirements management software such as Polarion, you are adept at using your good knowledge in the area of requirements management

You are fluent in German and English (at least C1 level) and are willing to travel and have a valid class B driver’s license.

Your profile is rounded off by a strong team and customer orientation as well as a high degree of flexibility, commitment, initiative and willingness to travel.
